Officially, the area is a municipality that is part of the 
It is known for its sandy beaches, blue waters, and world-famous nightlife.
The city initially featured in the original Grand Theft Auto title, reappearing in Vice City and Vice City Stories. However, this is the first time it has appeared in Rockstar Games' HD Universe.
The city is inspired by the real-life city of Miami Beach, in Florida.
