This likely suggests that the weapon is the same '.357' revolver (also known as the Equalizer) that was initially introduced in GTA: Vice City, returning in Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories.

However, if this is the same gun, this is the first time the weapon has appeared in Rockstar Games' HD Universe.

The Mustang .357 is produced by Duke Arms Company, which is inspired by the real weapon manufacturer, Colt. The revolver's design appears to be inspired by the real Colt Python.
