The hammer is a melee weapon present in Grand Theft Auto 6. It can likely be used to deal much higher damage than standard melee attacks at extremely close range.
The weapon was first revealed during Trailer 1, in which a woman holding a hammer in each hand was being filmed in front of a Hamlet apartment complex in Vice-Dale County, Leonida.
The lady in question was inspired by a well-known real-life resident of Los Angeles, known as the ‘Dual Hammer Karen.’
Whether or not the hammer can be dual-wielded in a similar manner in-game, is unclear.
