The first confirmation that a Rottweiler would appear in-game came with Rockstar Games' official screenshots, where the dog breed could be seen sitting with its owner on the streets of 
Not only does the breed appear in GTA 6, but the Rottweiler already has a history with the GTA series.
After all, a Rottweiler by the name of Chop is owned by Lamar Davis in GTA 5, and the dog even accompanies the player during several missions.
Rottweilers are one of only seven different dog breeds to have appeared in the series to date.
