Tear Gas

Tear Gas is a thrown weapon that can be obtained in GTA 6.

This special gas grenade first appeared in the original Vice City, and also featured in San Andreas, GTA 5, and GTA Online.

While Tear Gas is usually seen as a non-lethal weapon in real life, the in-game variant does deal damage to enemies and can even prove fatal. Characters in a Tear Gas cloud released by these grenades will take steady damage until they leave the area or the gas dissipates.

NPCs caught in Tear Gas will cover their face and begin to cough, making the weapon an effective distraction. Since characters will try and avoid the gas cloud, it is also a good way of driving enemies out of cover.

Tear Gas has not been confirmed for GTA 6, but it does appear in the September 2022 leaks.
