The Duke Carbine's in-game name is currently unknown; however, Carbine Rifles of various styles have appeared in almost every Grand Theft Auto title since GTA III. They have often been referred to as the M16, or M4.
These assault rifles are usually based on the M16 family of rifles, or other weapons such as the AR-15.
The Carbine is usually known for its high accuracy and quick rate of fire, making it a reliable weapon for any situation. It is often customizable with a variety of attachments that can boost its accuracy even further, add a scope, or increase magazine size.
GTA 6's Duke Carbine appears to be heavily inspired by the real Colt Carbine CR6920.
