The AR-15 is a lightweight semi-automatic rifle that is closely related to military hardware such as the M16.
This AR-15-style rifle is a weapon used by a squad of Leonida law enforcement during a raid shown in Trailer 1.
Police in GTA 6 will likely bring out similar high-power rifles at higher Wanted levels, when dealing with extremely dangerous threats.
Of the four police shown in the body cam footage, only one is using the AR-15, suggesting that they’re not the police’s usual weapon of choice.
