This retro variant of the original Elegy RH8 first appeared in GTA Online's Import/Export update in December 2016. It has never featured in any single-player title before now.
Multiple Elegy Retro Customs can be seen in Trailer 1, during the street takeover shots. Interestingly, the original Elegy has not yet been confirmed to appear in the game.
The Elegy Retro Custom is one of the better-performing Sports class cars, with excellent handling on tighter corners. It has a good weight distribution and strong acceleration, making it one of the best-handling vehicles in its class.
However, it doesn't match up with the top speeds of other Sports class cars, and (in GTA Online), the Custom variant was always slightly slower than the original Elegy RH8.
The Elegy Retro Custom is inspired by the real Nissan Skyline GT-R, though its appearance seems to be a mix of multiple generations of Skyline rather than any one specific model.
