Take-Two Interactive just hosted its quarterly earnings call for Fiscal Year Q4 2024, and we’ve got a full breakdown of everything revealed about GTA 6!

Rockstar Games’ parent company, Take-Two Interactive, has now wrapped up its final earnings call for the 2024 Fiscal Year. As usual, the publisher had plenty to reveal for its investors, including recent profits and expected revenue sources for FY25.

And while Grand Theft Auto 6 wasn’t the focus of the Take-Two earnings call, it certainly came up in the discussion.

Here’s a summary of all the new GTA 6 information:

Release Window Narrowed Down

It’s official: GTA 6 will release between September and November 2025, as Take-Two Interactive confirms a Fall release date for the highly-anticipated title.

In last year’s May earnings call, Take-Two appeared to hint at GTA 6 being an early 2025 release, stating that the company would deliver ‘several groundbreaking titles’ in the next fiscal year, leading to a staggering $8 billion in revenue.

However, this year, Take-Two Interactive’s CEO had some disappointing news to deliver:

“As we enter Fiscal 2025 with positive momentum, we expect to deliver Net Bookings of $5.55 to $5.65 billion,” said CEO Strauss Zelnick. “Our outlook reflects a narrowing of Rockstar Games’ previously established window of Calendar 2025 to Fall of Calendar 2025 for Grand Theft Auto VI.”

Given that GTA 6 is set to release in Fall, we’d bet on it dropping in October 2025. After all, almost half of all GTA games have launched in that month to date.

This news does come with one upside though: we finally have an official release window for GTA 6. And according to Zelnick, Take-Two is very happy with the date, suggesting that fans shouldn’t expect further delays.

For now though, we’ll have to wait and see what the future has in store for us.

Expect Big Things in the Years to Come

But Take-Two seems to expect big things for GTA 6 post-launch, commenting that it’s ‘highly confident that Rockstar Games will deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience.’

According to the earnings report, Take-Two believes that its upcoming release will help the company achieve ‘new levels of success’ with sequential growth in Net Bookings expected for Fiscal year 2025, 2026, and 2027.

“As we deliver our pipeline, we are confident that we will drive our scale, enhance our margins, and deliver industry-leading returns for our shareholders,” Take-Two’s statement concludes.

Given that GTA 5 is still the fastest-selling entertainment product of all time, hitting $1 billion in just three days on sale (and given that GTA 6’s trailer blew past GTA 5’s reveal immediately), we’d say this confidence is well placed.

That’s all that the company had to say about GTA 6 during the earnings call, promising more information will come in the ‘fullness of time,’ which doesn’t sound like anytime soon!

More GTA Sales Figures

As ever, Take-Two Interactive also provided us with an update on its existing titles, revealing just how well its franchises are doing even before GTA 6’s launch.

In February 2024, the company confirmed that GTA 5 has now sold 195 million copies, making it the best-selling title of the past ten years in the USA.

Now, just months later, GTA 5 has sold ‘approximately 200 million units’ as the game continues to attract new players.

It is still to this day, the second best-selling game of all time, only behind Minecraft (300 million sales).

Take-Two also revealed that the Grand Theft Auto franchise has sold over 425 million units in total.

It also included a nod to the GTA 6 trailer, which achieved a staggering 93 million views in 24 hours, making it the fastest-viewed non-music video ever uploaded to YouTube.
