What Can We Expect?

There are several interesting aspects we can expect to glean from the upcoming Q4 2024 earnings conference call:

Release Window Information

First up is a new hint regarding GTA 6’s release window. While Take-Two isn’t likely to announce exactly when the upcoming title will release in its investor call, the company has made potential hints at release dates in the past.

For example, back in last year’s May earnings call, Take-Two indicated that GTA 6 could release in early 2025:

“We believe that we will enter our next phase of growth in Fiscal 2025, as we plan to deliver several groundbreaking titles that we anticipate will set new standards of quality and success and enable us to deliver over $8 billion in Net Bookings”

Given that the Fiscal Year runs from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025, some fans began predicting an early 2025 launch for GTA 6.

However, in subsequent earnings calls, that $8 billion prediction has since dropped to $7 billion, leading some analysts to suggest that GTA 6’s release has been pushed back to later in 2025.

Should this number change again in the latest earnings call, it could be an indicator of exactly when we can expect GTA 6 to drop.

New Screenshots or Trailer?

Although Take-Two Interactive won’t drop a trailer during its earnings call, some fans suggest that the publisher may look to release new GTA 6 screenshots or footage shortly before it presents to investors.

This would give its earnings call a nice boost, and allow Take-Two to showcase just how popular its upcoming game will be.

Already, the company can brag about GTA 6’s record-breaking first trailer, which is already approaching 200 million views on YouTube alone.

Personally, we think the next GTA 6 trailer will arrive much later in the year, but fans can dream.

Updates to Sales Figures of Existing Titles

Finally, and perhaps less excitingly, Take-Two will also provide an update on its existing titles, such as GTA 5, GTA Online, and Red Dead Redemption 2.

Last investor call, we saw the company officially confirm just how many copies GTA 5 has sold to date.

Take-Two Interactive also reported that the GTA franchise as a whole has surpassed over 420 million units sold, which is an incredible indicator of things to come.

Ultimately, we wouldn’t get overly excited for the investor call, and certainly don’t recommend getting your hopes up for too much GTA 6 news. However, as this is set to be the first earnings call since the release of GTA 6’s debut trailer, we’re sure to see some reference to the upcoming release.
