New jobs just became available at GTA 6 developer Rockstar Games as the studio prepares for the highly anticipated title’s release.

It appears that Grand Theft Auto developer Rockstar Games is undergoing a new hiring wave, with the company releasing a variety of new roles over the last 24 hours.

With new vacancies in several Rockstar Games offices becoming available, the developer is likely gearing up for GTA 6’s now-confirmed Fall 2025 release.

What’s more, Rockstar could even be hiring extra staff to prepare its first official roleplay mode, something that we’re yet to hear from the team about.

Rockstar Games New Jobs Revealed

It appears that Rockstar Games is looking to hire for a variety of roles across its various offices worldwide.

Among the new jobs listed, roles are available for C++ Engineers, Vehicle Artists, Gameplay Animators, Graphic Designers, and more.

From what we can tell, none of the jobs can be performed remotely, which makes sense given that Rockstar Games recently forced all staff to return to the office.

We expect GTA 6 development to be more or less complete, with Take-Two Interactive’s CEO indicating that Rockstar is working on debugging ahead of the launch in Fall 2025.

However, these new roles may hint that more development is still necessary prior to launch.

Or perhaps Rockstar is simply planning ahead of post-launch content, including the likely decade-long support of the game’s online mode.

Speaking of which…

An Official GTA 6 RP?

A couple of the newly-listed jobs indicate that they’re for FiveM, a GTA 5 roleplay server, which could point at Grand Theft Auto 6 having an official RP mode.

RP servers have become incredibly popular with the livestreaming community, and it looks as though the developer wants to officially incorporate roleplaying in GTA 6’s online mode.

In 2023, Rockstar officially purchased Cfx.re, the team behind two of the most popular RP servers: FiveM and RedM.

Now, the studio appears to be openly hiring to expand the team, which could indicate that we’ll see GTA’s first official roleplay modes arriving before long.

Rockstar Games could be looking to expand the existing roleplay servers – but we’d be shocked if the developer didn’t want to move things over to GTA 6!
