The Take-Two Interactive quarterly earnings call has just confirmed the GTA 6 release window at long last.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is officially set to release in 2025, but neither Rockstar Games nor publisher Take-Two Interactive has revealed the exact date on which the game will drop.

Now, a new statement from the Take-Two Interactive investor conference call has shed some light on the game’s actual release window.

When Will GTA 6 Release?

According to a new statement by Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick, GTA 6 will be released in Fall 2025.

The game is currently scheduled to release between September and November 2025.

“As we enter Fiscal 2025 with positive momentum, we expect to deliver Net Bookings of $5.55 to $5.65 billion,” said CEO Strauss Zelnick. “Our outlook reflects a narrowing of Rockstar Games’ previously established window of Calendar 2025 to Fall of Calendar 2025 for Grand Theft Auto VI.”

It is likely that GTA 6’s release date will be in September or October, as this is the most common launch window for Rockstar Games.

It looks as though we shouldn’t expect any delays to that date either, at least not just yet. In the Q&A portion of the Take-Two earnings call, Zelnick states “we feel really good about that release date.”

Don’t Expect GTA 6 Early in 2025

During last year’s May earnings call, Take-Two Interactive set expectations for the year ahead by predicting record profits of $8 billion for Fiscal Year 2025, which runs from April 1, 2024 – March 31, 2025.

“We believe that we will enter our next phase of growth in Fiscal 2025, as we plan to deliver several groundbreaking titles that we anticipate will set new standards of quality and success and enable us to deliver over $8 billion in Net Bookings,” the company reported in May 2023.

When GTA 6 Trailer 1 was announced just a few months later in November, and a 2025 release date arrived alongside the first look, fans naturally began to assume that the game may actually launch early in the year, before the end of the Fiscal Year.

However, the publisher’s February earnings call suggested that estimations for Fiscal Year 2025 soon lowered to $7 billion, and have now dropped to just $5.55 to $5.56 billion.

Recently, Kotaku also reported that early 2025 is no longer the target for GTA 6’s launch, and it seems that report was correct.

It also appears that we’ll be waiting a while to hear more about the upcoming title, with Zelnick commenting that more GTA 6 news will be revealed in the ‘fullness of time.’

Sounds like a significant wait to us!
