Unless you’ve lived under a rock for the past day, you have probably seen Rockstar’s announcement of the GTA 6 trailer releasing December 5.

However, this wasn’t the only thing revealed. Rockstar has made lots of small changes on the day of its anniversary.

Here’s a recap of all the official news and teasers from December 1:

Trailer 1 Arrives December 5 on YouTube

First and foremost, GTA 6 trailer 1 has finally been confirmed for Tuesday, December 5, at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET.

The announcement came via Rockstar’s socials, with the Newswire also being updated with a pop-up in case you somehow forget.

The tweet has already obliterated records, becoming the most-liked gaming tweet ever in a matter of hours.

YouTube has also confirmed you can watch it on the platform, following some speculation that it would only be on the Newswire.

Interestingly, Rockstar refers to it as “Trailer 1,” suggesting there will be several trailers leading up to release.

First Official Artwork

After years of concept art and fan-made designs, we finally have our first look at GTA 6 artwork, and it all but confirms a Vice City theme:

  • Palm trees
  • Three birds
  • Yellow, orange, pink, blue, and purple color palette
  • Sunset with a clear sky

The artwork certainly gives off tropical Miami vibes, so it seems we’ll be returning to the neon-soaked city.

Rockstar Overhauls Its Social Media Accounts

Rockstar Games has wholly overhauled its X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube accounts.

Its bio now says, “The official home of Rockstar Games on [social media platform].”

The studio has removed the following line from its account bio: “Publishers of such popular games as Grand Theft Auto, Max Payne, Red Dead Redemption, L.A. Noire, Bully & more.”

The start of a new era.

Rockstar Games has archived over 4,000 posts on Instagram, with the only post displayed being the trailer announcement.

This may indicate that we’re getting more than just a trailer. Rockstar likely has more footage and screenshots to share soon if they’ve archived all previous posts.
