Vapid

Vapid Motor Company, often referred to as Vapid, is a car manufacturer that appears in GTA 6.

The company made its debut in GTA 4, and it has been a staple of the franchise ever since, appearing in all recent mainline releases as one of the largest vehicle manufacturers in the world.

Vapid was confirmed to return once again in Trailer 1, where a Bobcat XL can be spotted in the opening seconds of GTA 6’s reveal.

In both Trailer 1 and Trailer 2, a number of brand-new Vapid vehicles can be seen, including the Vapid Caracara 4x4, a new Vapid Sedan, and several police variants of Vapid vehicles.

One of the game’s protagonists, Jason, is shown to own and regularly drive a Creado, which also appears in the Trailer 1 key art.

Vapid Motor Company is a parody of the real Ford Motor Company, sharing an extremely similar name and logo to its real-life counterpart.

However, despite this obvious similarity, several Vapid vehicles are actually based on other companies’ cars, such as the Chevrolet, Toyota, and Land Rover.

The company’s name, Vapid, can also be used to describe something that is dull and boring, which could be a dig at Ford’s basic but affordable lineup. However, many of the more expensive Vapid models are extremely high-performance and flashy vehicles, which could also be why the name sounds like the word ‘rapid.’
