The news network’s name translates to Mega News, though its social media handle @Mega_MundoNews translates to Mega World News, suggesting that the broadcast reports on more than just Leonida.
In Trailer 1, the channel can be seen reporting on the 
Mega Noticias is most likely a reference to the real-life television network Telemundo, though its blue overlays are also reflective of Univision.
Both networks are American Spanish-language organizations, and each has a television station that broadcasts in Miami, Florida, on which Vice City is based.
