Maibatsu Corporation

Maibatsu Corporation is a vehicle and electronics manufacturer that appears in GTA 6.

The company is one of the Grand Theft Auto title's longest-running businesses, first appearing in GTA 3 before resurfacing in every major game to date.

Maibatsu was also seen in another Rockstar Games project, 2003's Manhunt.

The brand was confirmed to return in GTA 6 Trailer 1, which showed a Sanchez being driven down a Vice City street by a 'Dirt Bike Dirt Bag.' Another dirt bike, the Manchez, was confirmed via an official screenshot of Mount Kalaga National Park.

The Maibatsu Penumbra has also been seen in both Trailer 1 and 2, with one being owned by a neighbour of Jason Duval.

Like the brand's real-world inspiration, Mitsubishi, Maibatsu is actually a conglomerate that manufactures more than just vehicles. The company is also known to produce electronics and weaponry in the Grand Theft Auto universe.

The name Maibatsu appears to draw from the Japanese word Zaibatsu, which is used to describe large family-owned conglomerates.

It could also be a play on a fusion of Mitsubishi and Daihatsu, which is another Japanese vehicle manufacturer.
