Dinka

Dinka is a vehicle manufacturer that appears in GTA 6.

The company made its debut in GTA 4, returning in Chinatown Wars, GTA 5, and GTA Online before being confirmed to appear in GTA 6.

In Trailer 1, a Double T can be seen parked on an Ocean Drive-inspired road in Vice City, and a Marquis is shown in the waters of the Leonida Keys.

Other Dinka vehicles, such as the Sugoi and a new Verus ATV have since appeared in GTA 6’s marketing.

Dinka is primarily based on the Japanese vehicle manufacturer Honda, and makes a wide variety of products, including compact cars, sports cars, motorcycles, boats, ATVs, and even go-karts.

Although the word Dinka can be used to refer to a real tribe in South Sudan, it is likely intended as a cross between ‘Honda’ and the British slang term ‘dinky,’ meaning small and cute (though in US English, this has a disappointing connotation).

This could be a nod to Honda’s exported Japanese compact cars initially feeling too small for the American market.
