Daewang is an electronics company that appears in GTA 6.
It first appeared in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - The Definitive Edition, despite not featuring in the original game.
Therefore, the brand was likely already created for GTA 6 before being added to the remastered title. In San Andreas, the company name appears on an in-game fax machine.
Daewang was officially confirmed to return in Trailer 1, where its name can be seen on the base of the Electronic Article Surveillance Theft Detectors in Uncle Jack's Liquor.
The company's name appears South Korean in origin, translating to "Great King."
Daewang's Korean origins seem even more likely when considering its similarity to the major South Korean company Daewoo.
It is also likely that the suffix 'wang,' which is slang for male genitalia, could be yet another example of Rockstar's humor.
So far, the theft detectors are the only Daewang product revealed in Leonida, but they are unlikely to be the last.
