Green Iguana

The Green Iguana is a small reptile that can be found in GTA 6.

The creature was first shown in Trailer 1, where it can be seen sitting on the shoulder of a beggar on the streets of Vice City.

More Green Iguanas appear in both Trailer 2 and the official screenshots, one of which is shown to be wearing a Hawaiian shirt and a crown. This appears to be the pet of a Leonida Keys resident, though it seems to be allowed to roam free.

Green Iguanas often make their home near water sources, particularly in humid habitats. In Florida, the state on which Leonida is based, the reptiles can be found in urbanized areas, as well as more natural habitats such as mangroves and pinelands.

It is likely that Green Iguanas will be found in large numbers in the swamplands and marshes of Leonida.

A non-native creature to Florida, Green Iguanas were first accidentally introduced to the state via cargo ships hailing from Cuba. Since then, they have been labeled an invasive species that poses a threat to the region's ecosystems.
